2nd Level Service Line Customer support

Key responsibilities

The Professional Services support for Off-Grid/On-Grid & Energy Storage Systems and Solutions – is 2nd in line and responsible for SMA’s most important customers, as also to take over 1st in line support structure.

Professional Service supports the full spectrum of Energy Storage Systems in home and C&I segment including the communication of systems and 3rd party components (e.g., heat pumps, washing machine).

  • Escalation level for 1st Level support
    • Collects customers’ data (complete case description, machine data gathered remotely, customers master data)
    • Documentation of all customer contacts in a Customer Relationship Management system (e.g. Salesforce and other ticketing tools)
    • Creating articles for a knowledge management system internal and external
    • Work out solutions together with the EMEA service team for technically complex issues in Off-/On-Grid & Storage PV systems (and remotely support during commissioning and troubleshooting)
  • Interface between HQ and local service organization for training (train the trainer concept; professional external training to SMA partners) and transfer of information
  • Part of the continuous improvement circles for processes and products
  • Other duties as maybe required or assigned regarding global service operations

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in an electro technical field or Electrical Engineering qualifications with complex electrical systems or equivalent demonstratable experience is required
  • Post Grad training, certification, or renewable energy qualifications preferred
  • Has at least two years of professional experience in a similar customer service role
  • Must be proficient in using MS Office, SAP knowledge and experience presenting to an audience is an advantage
  • Good knowledge in English, other language is an asset
  • Proactive approach to work, organizational skills, works well under stress and deadlines and is a team-player
  • Willingness to undergo further training in Europe
  • Driving license
